Following PSA’s recent launch of a Hong Kong office to serve Asian collectors, CGC is amplifying its regional presence through strategic partnerships. The grading authority has elevated Card Hobby (a division of Shanghai Ssuper Technology Co. Ltd.) from Authorized Dealer to Official Submission Center across Asia.
Collectors in Hong Kong, China, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia and nearby markets can now access CGC’s authentication and grading services for TCGs, sports cards, and non-sports cards through Card Hobby’s network of physical stores, all equipped with dedicated CGC submission counters.
Established in 2015, Card Hobby operates both digitally and through 20+ Asian storefronts, specializing in collectible card sales. Shanghai Ssuper Technology Co. Ltd. is the developer of the ASCC Show Platform for the Asia Sports Collectors Convention as well. As part of the Certified Collectibles Group® (CCG®), CGC has graded over 10 million cards since 2020.
Hong Kong’s Rise as Asia’s Trading Card Hub
Why is Hong Kong now Asia’s trading card epicenter?
While CGC operates a dedicated grading facility in China, it remains unclear whether submissions from other Asian countries (Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, etc.) must still route through U.S. facilities. This ambiguity around regional processing workflows poses a critical concern impacting delivery timelines and grading turnaround for collectors across Asia.
